Hello, I am Abhay - a finance professional with close to five years of experience in banking, currently working in the liquidity and funding forecasting function at one of the major banks in London. I hold an MSc in Investment and Finance and have cleared all three levels of the CFA Program.

I started this site to explore financial markets through a lens most commentary skips: academic research. Rather than putting out another roundup of headlines or price targets, I pull together published research papers and data from primary sources, distill the actual findings into plain English, and add my own independent point of view on what it means for the market.

My starting focus is commodities — gold, silver, copper, crude oil, and natural gas — where I combine academic literature with primary data from sources like the ICSG, USGS, and IEA to go deeper than typical market commentary.
